Most of the work I've ever done has been at investment banks. This is not something you talk about at parties but I find it quite interesting. It has also brought me from my kith and kin in London to lights and uproar of New York, where I know nobody. Or at least I have begun by knowing nobody and am now in the slow process of adding acquaintances to that prestigious circle. Apart from the hollow loneliness of being adrift in a faraway land, I'm actually managing to have a bloody good time.
I labour under the delusion that some of what I post here is witty, some of it erudite. Generally, it consists of day-to-day observances, vague thoughts on books and films and the occasional tangent into some obscure topic that I've decided to read into that day. Actually, these days, there seems to be rather a lot of queeny smut in the mix as well.
If you find that I've randomly added you as a friend it is probably because you share some obscure interest with me on your profile. It's an audacious bid to try to extend my Friends list and make myself seem more popular than I actually am. Feel free to tell me to fuck off if I'm cluttering your profile.
By a similar token, if you find the quotidian humdrum of my to-ings and fro-ings remotely interesting, add me as a Friend. I don't mind. I'll probably add you back.
